PURPOSE: To gather data on the time when an empty taxi stops while the engine is left running by providing a pulse conversion device which continues to output dummy speed pulses while the taxi is empty. CONSTITUTION: In the distance pulse conversion device 20, an oscillation circuit 28 outputs a pulse signal at a period corresponding to a pulse speed equivalent to 200 Km/H. A frequency comparing circuit 26 lowers its output to an L level and sends it to a multiplexer 30 when the speed pulses becomes speed pulses of <=5Km/H. The multiplexer 30 selects a data terminal X1 side. A multiplexer 32 selects a data terminal X2 side when a vacant/hired signal indicates a vacant state, and the pulses of the oscillation circuit 28 are outputted to an operation data gathering device 5. When the taxi stops completely and the ignition is turned off, the taxi meter 3 is turned off, so the output of the distance pulse conversion device 20 goes down to the L level. |
