FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: article, for instance a connecting rod, has rod made in block with the piston head and a portion of the crank head whereto the cover is secured by way of bolts. The lubricating surface of the passageway is connected with the cylindrical portion of the opening in the crank head through surface of the passageway expanded to the edge and inclined rotation surface coaxial to it and through conjugating surface as well. The method of manufacturing strengthened metallic articles comprises hot stamping blanks, heat treatment, mechanical working, and making a lubricating passageway with the rotation surface that is diverging to the edge. The surface is made by means of a cutting tool. Cold expansion of the surface of its end zone is then performed. The riveted rotation surface is plastically formed about the passageway and about its conjugating surface with the expanded surface simultaneously as well. The expanded surface is machined. The cylindric portion of an article is oriented simultaneously with respect to the axis of rotation of a tool and base surface that corresponds to the diameter of the cylindrical portion of an article and is positioned on the arrester. The arrester is made preliminary and locked by the axle of the base surface perpendicularly to the axis of rotation of a tool. The expanded surface of the passageway is machined until the cylindric portion of an article abuts against the base surface of the arrester. When riveted surface of rotation is formed, the deforming part of a tool is oriented over the expanded surface of the passageway. The axis of the bearing cylindric area on the tool is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the deforming part. The riveted surface of rotation and its surface of conjugation are formed until the area of the tool abuts the cylindric portion of an article. EFFECT: simplified manufacturing. 23 cl, 4 dwg |
