PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of a rolling bearing to be used in a part where high precision of a mast roller or the like is not required by turning the surface including the raceway surface of a bearing ring. CONSTITUTION: An inner ring 1 and an outer ring 2 are manufactured out of the stock through the turning machining and the heat treatment, the raceway surface 1a of the inner ring 1, inner and outer radial surfaces 1b, 1c, each end face 1d, and the raceway surface 2a of the outer ring 2, inner and outer radial surfaces 2b, 2c, and each end face 2d are turned as the final finishing, and no grinding is achieved. In order to omit the grinding of the raceway surfaces 1a, 2a, the inner clearance of the bearing is set to the value larger than that of the regular bearing taking into consideration the diameter of grooves d1, d2 after the heat treatment. No high precision of rotation is required for the bearing for the mast roller, and no problems occur in terms of the precision even when the clearance of the bearing is a little bit large. |
