PURPOSE: To display newest TMC data when Acc is next set ON even when the Acc is not set ON at present when the TMC data defined in an 8A group among RDS data sent as an FM multiplex broadcast are received, demodulated, analyzed, coded and displayed on a map as a symbol mark. CONSTITUTION: TMC data received by an FM multiplex broadcast reception section A are stored in a temporary S-RAM 6. The FM multiplex broadcast reception section A is operated within a setting time even when Acc is not ON and stores newest TMC data at all times. A tuner microcomputer 5 reads newest TMC data from the S-RAM 6 immediately when the Acc is ON and sends the data to a display section B, and the data are displayed on a display device 11 together with an image of a map of a corresponding area based on map data read from an IC card 12, then newest traffic information such as congestion and accident is obtained on the map as a symbol mark. |
