PURPOSE: To sharply increase subscriber storing capacity by conserving the number of channels within a technically regulated range. CONSTITUTION: Block converters 1-3a to 1-3d for collectively converting carriers in an up using band into carriers in a down using band and turning up the converted carriers are respectively independently arranged on respective main line cables 2a to 2d corresponding to respective directions and channel converters 1-5a to 1-5d for converting a part of carriers in the up using band into a part of carriers in the down using band are respectively independently arranged also on respective cables 2a to 2d. Communication among terminals belonging to the same main line cable is executed through the block converters 1-3a to 1-3d and communication among terminals belonging to respectively different main line cables is executed through the channel converters 1-5a to 1-5d. Since the same multi-channel can be repeatedly used for the main line cables for respective directions, the number of subscribers to be stored in the same system can sharply be increased. |
