The ferrule is formed of a molded product of synthetic resin, and is provided with at least one connecting member (12) on the side of butting end face connected to the optical device. The connecting member (12) has a linear expansion coefficient set at a value smaller than the linear expansion coefficient of a synthetic resin forming the ferrule.
