Agglomerating agent latex with bound poly(ethylene oxide)

A process for agglomerating latexes of rubbery polymers comprises (a) forming an agglomerating latex by radical copolymerisation. of (1) an ethylenically unsatd. monomer and (2) a vinyl functional non-surfactant polyoxyethylene in the presence of water to give polyoxyethylene bound agglomerating particles; and (b) admixing the agglomerating particles with a latex of rubbery particles having an average particle size of 15-200 nm in diameter on a wt. average basis, to form agglomerated particles.
