PURPOSE: To provide an output of an image with higher image quality by applying coding/decoding to an image and correcting the decoded image adaptively so as to suppress deterioration in the image quality. CONSTITUTION: An image signal coded and stored in the unit of blocks of a prescribed size is read from a memory section 110 and decoded by a decoding section 111 and the decoded image signal is converted into a CMY image signal by a color space conversion section 112, a masking UCR section 113 applies UCR and masking processing to form a color component signal. Then a filter processing section 114 applies median filter processing depending on the discrimination result of a filter processing discrimination section 118. |
