FIELD: analytical chemistry of organic compounds. SUBSTANCE: method consists in extracting p-cresol from analyzed sample by hydrophylic solvent, in particular 4-butyrolacton, in presence of salting out agent, in particular 35.5-43.5 wt % ammonium sulfate, and subsequent determination of p-cresol in the extract using potentiometric titration technique. EFFECT: increased by one third completeness of p-cresol extraction at hundredfold concentration, increased accuracy and selectivity of the analysis, and simplified process due to elimination of re-extraction step. |
