PURPOSE: To improve the communication service by properly taking matching between a public frame relay network and a private frame relay. CONSTITUTION: This node is a node of a private frame relay connected to a public frame relay network 1 via relay lines 8, 9, and provided with an address field management means. When a frame is sent to the public frame relay network 1 via the relay lines 8, 9, a 2nd address field AD2 for the public frame relay network 1 is added to the frame in addition to a 1st address field AD1 used in the private frame relay and the resulting frame is sent, and when the frame from the public frame relay network 1 via the relay lines 8, 9 is received, the 2nd address field AD2 added to the frame is deleted and the resulting frame is sent.
