FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: proposed measuring device uses direct relationship between dielectric constant and density of hydrocarbon mixtures for considerable improvement of measuring properties of some existing equipment used in oil industry. Among examples of usage of such equipment there are multiphase flow meters for hydrocarbon intended for use with multiphase mixture of oil, water and gas and self-calibrating measuring device for fraction of water determining content of water in flow of liquid crude oil. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of measurements.
