Trainer for simulating, testing and designing automation systems based on programmable logic controllers. Device that consists of a methacrylate board which has a matrix of holes and on which a sheet is placed with the representation of the process or installation to be simulated. This contains the holes necessary for inserting the set of push-button switches and wired LEDs that supply the electrical input signals to the control system and enables the outputs that this generates to be displayed. The connections are made via two terminal boards for directing signals. The component assembly is integrated into a box, which can hold the configuration created, and facilitates its transport. The design of the device offers complete flexibility for implementing an indefinite number of sheets of the desired complexity that represent a diagram of the process or installation to be simulated.
