Method of joining thermoplastic parts, in which their thermoplastic end regions to be joined are heated by contact with a heating element, for example a metallic blade, in particular simultaneously until softening, whereupon the softened regions of plastic are brought into contact with each other, in particular the plastic parts are pushed towards each other, whereby there is formed between the plastic parts a weld, which is subjected to mechanical loading, the still softened and cooling weld, and if appropriate the adjoining edges of the plastic parts, being subjected to impulse-like loading, in particular by at least one impulse, by means of a pressure element of which the temperature is controlled at a level below the melting temperature of the plastic parts to be joined. |
