<p>A sensor connector (2) comprises a conductive outer housing (4) within which is mounted a certain length of shielded cable connected to receptacle terminals (38) that receive pins of a sensor. A shield element (40, 140) extends across the inside of the outer housing (4) to provide a shield means between the sensor and the cable leads (18). In one embodiment the shield (140) is stamped and formed, and in the other the shield (40) is a printed circuit board with a ground plane on one side and surface mounted capacitors on the other side interconnected to the terminals for filtering the signal. Soldering of the filter elements to the ground planes, and soldering of the terminals to the filter elements provides a shock resistant connection that is necessary for such applications.</p> |
