<p>Various methods of treating the musculoskeletal, neural and respiratory disorders in a patient are disclosed wherein a preparation containing rubidium ions, preferably in the form of rubidium chloride are administered externally or internally to the patient. In one preferred embodiment a topical preparation is provided which consists of strips of microporous material (A) on each side of a plastics backing layer (B) impregnated with an aqueous solution containing rubidium chloride. In an alternative embodiment a cream preparation containing rubidium chloride is provided for external application to the patient.</p> |
