An expansion joint mainly for combined-cycle power plants, comprising flanges (17) all maintained at high temperatures, and a flexible strip (23) bolted to the hot strips and including at least one layer consisting of an insulating material capable of withstanding high temperatures, as well as a heat diffusing member (27) arranged between the bolts (25) for clamping the flexible strip (23) to the flanges (17) and the outer layer of said strip.
