<p>A Low-Heat High-Performance Concrete (LHHPC) composition having a very low cement content and high W/CM ratio offers high strengths, low heat of hydration, excellent volumetric stability, low chloride permeability and low pH. To reduce the cement content while maintaining high performance, silica fume and silica flour are used in large quantities. The LHHPC composition can be used for high mass concrete structures and other applications which require low heats of hydration yet offers compressive strength comparable to Standard High Performance Cement (SHPC).</p> |
