A semi-submerged catamaran, of which a submerged body is elongated to improve the speed of the catamaran and which undergoes less shaking at stopping. A semi-submerged catamaran (10) comprises respective attitude control fins (5A, 5B) which are provided at inner side portions of two submerged bodies (3) extending in parallel to each other and controlled by a computer. The attitude control fins (5A) are provided on bow sides of the submerged bodies (3) and the attitude control fins (5B) are provided on stem sides of the submerged bodies (3). Fixed to bow portions (3A) of the submerged bodies (3) are shaking prevention fins (4A), respectively. The fins (4A) are horizontally mounted to portions of a major axis, that is portions of a maximum width in the submerged bodies (3) which are formed to be substantially elliptic in cross section. Further, undersides (21) of stern side portions (2B) of struts (2) are normally submerged in water, and so have shaking prevention fins (4B), respectively, fixed thereto. In addition, swing prevention fins may be fixed to stem side portions (3B) of the submerged bodies (3). <IMAGE> |
