Bicycle with theft prevention device

The cycle has a frame with at least one hollow frame tube (3). The theft prevention device is contained in a housing (5) which is connected to the frame tube (3). The theft prevention device includes a cable drum (9) with a roll up spring on which a securing cable is wound. The cable (11) can be withdrawn from the housing. The free end of the cable (11) by which it is withdrawn, has a first part (13,15) of a lock mechanism. The other part of the lock is integrated in the housing (5). Thus the cable (11) with the first lock part can be withdrawn out of the housing (5) and fed around a fixed object and/or around parts of the bicycle and then connected with the second lock part. The device also includes an alarm system (20,21) with an interruption detecting alarm loop in the cable. An electric alarm circuit is connected to the loop. This has an acoustic and/or optical alarm generator and a power supply (22) for the circuit and alarm generator.
