Insulation and support arrangement for winding transformers and throttle coils

The arrangement has axial cooling channels and cylindrical barriers. It also has axial support elements. A cylinder (6) of preselected radial thickness, made of mechanically and electrically fast insulating material is provided as the axial support element. The cylinder (6) has slits (6.3) of a predetermined width over its whole axial length, the slits (6.3) are arranged at a predetermined distance from each other. In the radial direction, the slits (6.3) have a depth such that as well as the cylinder (6) forming axial supports (6.4), a circumferential part forming a radial barrier (7.1, 7.2) is also maintained. In forming the winding, the barrier part preferably lies radially outwards, while the axial slits are supported no radially lower winding parts and/or on barriers of the radially inner insulation. Alternatively, the barrier may lie radially inwards and an insulating cylinder may be arranged outside the axial supports, whose thickness is determined by the required electric stability.
