An automated process is used to fix connector strips to the ends of wires in a wiring loom, the wires are fed in parallel by being passed by a pair of measuring rollers (10,11) having grooves for the individual wires. One end of the wires are fed into the connector (3) and each connection point has metal contacts (14) that are pressed into position using a tool (15). The connector is supported on a spring mounted table while this takes place (5). The other end of the wires are passed through a guide block (9) and are cut and pressed into two connector elements (21,22).
