Method of separating demolition waste into inorganic and organic parts

The method involves separating a light fraction out in a first classifying stage by through-flow classifying. In this stage, the falling flow is separated into several more fractions, of which at least one contains both components. The fraction containing both components is separated into upper and lower fractions, from which one contains only one component and the other contains both. Each upper or lower fraction still containing both components is divided into light and heavy fractions in a second classifying stage. For the upper fraction, the heavy fraction is reunited with the upper fraction of the previous stage, or in classifying the lower fraction, the light fraction is reunited with the upper fraction from the previous stage.
