Process for preparing a Syndio-isoblockpolymer

Syndio-iso block polymers of 1-olefins containing molecular chains in which syndiotactic and isotactic sequences are present are obtained if a catalyst which comprises a bridge-containing chiral metallocene of the formula I and an aluminoxane is used for the polymerisation of the 1-olefins. Some of the polymers have rubber-like properties.
