The switch (10) has a movable mass (17) movable along a track (32) between a rest position and an end position. At least a first return element (18) which biases the mass (17) in its rest position. A switch contact (27) is actuated by the mass (17). The first return element (18) is coupled to an actuator (15). This actuates the switch contact (27) when the mass (17) moves against tel force of the return element (18) from its rest position in the direction of an end position. The actuator (15) actuates the switch contact (27) when the mass (17) is in a switch position before reaching the end position. A further return element (21) is provided. This is connected to the first return element (18) and is arranged such that it acts against a further movement of the mass (17) to the end position when the switch is actuated so that the switch contact (27) remains actuated while the mass (17) moves from its switch position in a direction of the end position.
