The corrugated cardboard wedge has a transverse U section whose bottom part (1) receives the bottle. The U branches are formed by a double wall in contact with the bottle external surface. An external wall (2) is joined to the base by a folding line. An internal wall (4a,b,c) fits the shape of the bottle. The double wall is joined by a band (3) parallel to the base to the corresponding external wall. The band is hinged on the external and internal walls by a folding line. Each internal wall is fixed to the base by a part (5) stuck against the base and joined to the internal wall by a folding line. Each internal wall has cut out slots (6,7) for dividing the wall into parts independently shaped to fit the bottle shape.
