Lifting platform safety unit against falls during wall erecting

A fall prevention unit fixed to platform or an attachment of this encloses the platform from above and stands at right angles to it, the preventer being U-shaped for preference and adjustable in both height and width. The prevention unit can also be extended as required and is mounted to one or more sides of the platform (4). The unit is installed alongside a wall (10) and in this case has three legs (12-14) set at right angles to give the U-figure. With the legs arranged in pairs, these are joined to one another and equipped with holders (16) taking pipes (17) parallel to the platform forming the safety handrail. These pipes are in turn fitted with extensions but can be replaced by nets or grids to guard against falling objects, etc. As the platform moves (as arrowed (8,9)) with construction progress, the platform and its safety fitments adapt so as to safeguard the area against falling persons or objects.
