Carbonylcarboxylic acid hydrazide derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new. R<1> = 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl or 2-8C alkynyl (these 3 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), 3-7C cycloalkyl, 3-7C cycloalkenyl (these 2 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), a non-aromatic 4-8 membered ring (contg. in addition to the ring C atoms, 1 or 2 further ring heteroatoms and opt. mono- or di-substd. on ring C atoms), aryl, heteroaryl (each opt. substd.), or W<1>W<2>C=N; R<2>, R<5> = H, 1-8C alkyl or 3-7C cycloalkyl (these last 2 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated); R<3>, R<4> = 1-8C alkyl (opt. substd.), or CR<3>R<4> = 4-8 membered ring (contg. in addition to the ring C atoms, further ring heteroatoms and opt. mono or di substd. on ring C atoms), R<6> = 1-8C alkyl, 2-8C alkenyl, 2-8C alkynyl (these 3 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), 3-7C cycloalkyl, 3-7C cycloalkenyl (these 2 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), a non-aromatic 4-8 membered ring (contg. in addition to the ring C atoms, 1 or 2 further heteroatoms and opt. substd. on the ring C atoms), aryl or heteroaryl (these last 2 gps. opt. substd.), and R<6> can also be H if R<3> = i-Pr; R<7> = R<6>, excluding H; X<1>-X<3> = O or S; W<1> = 1-8C alkyl (opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), 2-8C alkenyl, 2-8C alkynyl (these last 2 gps. each opt. partially or completely halogenated and opt. substd.), 3-7C cycloalkyl or 3-7C cycloalkenyl (these 2 gps. each opt. substd.), aryl or heteroaryl (these 2 gps. each opt. substd.), W<2> = H or W<1>.
