A process for the control of soot blowers (4), individually or in groups, for cleaning a boiler plant (1). The soot blowers (4) are activated at intervals for a cleaning operation and emit a cleaning medium (5) - in particular a gas, steam or water - from one or more nozzles against the components (2, 3) to be cleaned, the cleaning intensity per unit of area to be cleaned being specified. The cleaning intensity per unit of area for each cleaning operation and each soot blower (4) or group of soot blowers (4) is set individually, the velocity (v) and/or pressure (p) of the cleaning medium (5) and/or repeat frequency (n) being/having been regulated according to the cleaning effect observed in current and/or previous cleaning operations. The cleaning effect is observed in every cleaning operation using significant readings, and the cleaning parameters in each case are adjusted according to the cleaning effect measured in the current cleaning operation and/or subsequent operations. |
