Device for agitation and sampling of blood products grouped in cassettes

The blood product samples are held in tubes closed by stoppers and fitted within cassettes. A handling machine (9) is provided to identify and extract a chosen tube (4) from a specific cassette (3) which is held within a support (1). The support is able to agitate the cassette in order to agitate the tubes prior to their removal for sampling. A drive mechanism including a motor (M, 29) is provided for the displacement of the handling mechanism to a chosen tube position, and the removal of the chosen tube for sampling. The handling mechanism may include double action pneumatic actuators to open or close the jaws.
