<p>When the contents of display data in a display memory have been changed, the address, subjected to the write access, of the display memory is held in an address latch circuit, and is divided by the number of display pixels in the horizontal direction of the display screen of a ferroelectric liquid crystal display unit. By decoding the division result, the display line number of the display unit corresponding to the address, subjected to the write access, of the display unit can be obtained. Upon reception of a display request signal from the display unit, the obtained display line number and display data corresponding to the line number are supplied to the display unit, and only display data of the display line corresponding to the rewritten portion is rewritten and the entire image of the changed image is displayed. <IMAGE></p> |
