PURPOSE: To provide a yarn length controlling device for a weft knitting machine capable of knitting by using the correction value of stitch cams close to a current knitting parameter. CONSTITUTION: This yarn length controlling device for a weft knitting machine is obtained by providing a measuring means measuring the yarn length of colored yarn in each knitting lock consumed for knitting a knitted fabric, a comparing means comparing the consumed yarn length measured by the measuring means with a standard yarn length memorized in a memorizing means and a correcting means obtaining a stitch cam correction value for each of the color yarns and also renewing the stitch cam correction value for each of the colored yarns by adding the obtained stitch cam correction value to the stitch cam correction value of the same knitting lock and to the stitch cam correction values of the other knitting locks using the same colored yarn so as to make the consumed yarn length close to the standard yarn length based on the computation of the comparison. |
