PURPOSE: To provide an image capturing device which has an image sensor having a plurality of photosensitive elements with an adjustable space resolving power. CONSTITUTION: An image capturing device 12 having an image sensor with a matrix of photosensitive elements, especially a CCD sensor 8 includes a control circuit to select a gate electrode as collection gate electrode or insulation gate electrode by the application of a potential with a proper polarity. The collection gate electrodes grouped are separated from each other by the insulation gate electrodes. The surface area of the collection gate electrodes grouped and a space resolving power determine both of a conversion function and the space resolving power of the image sensor. The surface area and the space resolving power are adjustable by regulating an electronic potential. Especially, the space resolving power is determined depending on a mode different in the operation of the capturing device, for example, when a part of an appropriate X-ray diagnostic apparatus is formed for fluoroscopy just as for the generation of an X-ray image with the image capturing device 12.
