PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite with improved weathering resistance by at least partly treating the surface of an organic substrate with a radiation-curable silicon-containing polyacrylate hard coat composition from which volatile substances are removed and then curing the hard coat composition by radiation. SOLUTION: In the case of producing a composite with improved weathering resistance and constituted of an organic substrate and a cured silicon-containing polyacrylate hard coat composition, the surface of the organic substrate is treated with a radiation-curable silicon-containing polyacrylate hard coat composition from which volatile substances are removed and then the hard coat composition is cured by radiation. Reaction of a mixture containing 100 pts. by wt. of an organic solvent miscible with water, 1-75 pts. by wt. of colloidal silica silylated with alkoxysilyl acrylate, 10 to about 400 pts. by wt. of polyfunctional acrylic monomer, and an anaerobic gelling inhibitor is carried out at about 25-100 deg.C and the products of the reaction from which volatile substances are removed is used as the hard coat composition.
