FIELD: cutting by a tool with cutting member heated by electric current. SUBSTANCE: in the process of wood cutting the values of tool forward force relative to wood are maintained within the preset deviations from the preset variation with the aid of an automatic control system with a closed feedback, in which variation of power of electric current heating the tool cutting member serves as control action.
