<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a flame-resistant board of first-class noncombusibility, having comparable strength to a conventional particle board by compounding a specific flame-resistant compsn. into a combustible compsn. comprising waste paper, wood chips, vegetable fibers, synthetic resin waste material and synthetic resin binder. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is obtd. by adding 10-20 pts.wt. of flame resistant compsn. (D) to 100 pts.wt. of a compsn. comprising 55-75wt.% used paper and/or wood chips and/or vegetable fiber (A), 45-0wt.% synthetic resin waste material (B) and 0-25w.% synthetic resin binder (C). The flame resistant compsn. (D) consists of alumina cement (a), aluminum hydroxide (b) and one of or combination of sodium silicate, magnesium chloride and calcium chloride (c) at a weight ratio of (a):(b):(c)=1:(0.5 to 1.5):(0.5 to 1.5). As for the binder, a synthetic resin binder such as phenol, resin, melamine resin and urea resin is used. The materials (A), (B), (C) are mixed and then (D) is added and formed.</p> |
