摘要 PURPOSE: To increase the toughness of an alpha plus beta titanium alloy while maintaining balance among strength, ductility, and toughness by subjecting an alpha plus beta titanium alloy, having a specific composition containing Mo, V, W, Nb, Ta, Fe, Cr, Ni, Co, Cu, and Al, to hot working in a two-phase region and then to specific heat treatment. CONSTITUTION: An alpha plus beta titanium alloy, having a composition in which Mo. eq represented by Mo. eq=Mo+0.67V+0.44W+0.28Nb+0.22Ta+2.9 Fe+1.6Cr+1.1Ni+1.4Co+0.77Cu-Al is regulated to 2-10wt.% and which preferably contains 3-5% Al, 2.1-3.7% V, 0.85-3.15% Mo, 0.85-3.15% Fe, and 0.06-0.2% O and satisfies 7<=0.67V<=2.9Fe+Mo<=13%, is prepared. This alloy is hot-worked in theα+βtwo phase region. Subsequently, the alloy is heated to and held at a temp. between (Tβ-55) and (Tβ-10) deg.C and air-cooled. Then, this alloy is reheated to and held at a temp. between (Tβ-250) and (Tβ-120) deg.C and air-cooled.
