PURPOSE: To obtain an organic electronic device, containing a polyester having a specific structure, excellent in charge transporting properties and mechanical abrasion quality and useful as electrophotographic photoreceptors, etc. CONSTITUTION: This device contains a charge transporting polyester comprising (A) any one recurring unit of formulas I and II [R1 and R2 are each H, an alkyl, an alkoxy, a substituted amino, a halogen or a (substituted) aryl; X is a (substituted) bivalent aromatic group; T is a branched 2-10C bivalent hydrocarbon in an aliphatic part; (k) is 0 or 1] as a bivalent carboxylic acid component, (B) a recurring structural unit of OC-Z-CO (Z is a bivalent carboxylic acid residue) and (C) a recurring structural unit of O-(Y-O)m [Y is a bivalent alcohol residue; (m) is 1-5] and both the terminals thereof are O-(Y-O)m R or formula III [R and R' are each H, an alkyl, a (substituted) aryl or a (substituted) aralkyl]. The degree of polymerization of the polyester is 5-5000.
