PURPOSE: To prepare a catalyst excellent in activity, selectivity and life and exhibiting a stable performance over a long term by using specified matters as sources of vanadium, copper, antimony and tin at the time of preparing a molybdenum-vanadium based catalyst used at a production of acrylic acid. CONSTITUTION: In the preparation of the molybdenum-vanadium based oxide catalyst for producing the acrylic acid expressed by formula Moa Vb Wc Cud Xe Yf Zg Oh , ammonium metavanadate is used as the source of the vanadium and copper nitrate is used as the source of copper. In the formula, X is antimony or tin, Y is magnesium, calcium, etc., Z is titanium, zirconium or cerium, (a) to (h) are atom numbers of Mo, V, W, Cu, X, Y, Z and O, and 2<=(b)<=14, 0<=(c)<=12, 0<(d)<=6, 0<=(e)<=5, 0<(f)<=3, 0<=(g)<=10 when (a) is 12. And (f) is a numerical number decided depending on an oxidation state of each element. |
