PURPOSE: To improve recording performance and prevent deterioration of electrodes by providing a heat generating body for heating and flying a recording material on a substrate material arranged in a recording material housing section and constituting a predetermined part of the heat generating body such that it becomes highly heated selectively so as to excellently fly the recording material such as a dye. CONSTITUTION: When a recording device is applied to a dye vaporization type printer of a non-contact method, a dye housing section 87 is formed at an insulating plate 73 in a dye vaporization section 77 of a printer head 70. In the housing section 87, a group of small pillars 80 is provided as a part of a vaporizing structure 101 by fine processing of the insulating plate 73. On a surface of a spacer 82 as a substrate material, a heat generating body 75 is provided and a central part 75A of the heat generating body 75 is formed so as to narrow locally. Thus, at the time of energization, a heating value is made to be larger than other parts and to have a high temperature. A signal voltage based on an image signal is placed across electrodes 94 and 95 by matrix driving, so that the heat generating body 75 is heated and a liquified dye 22 is efficiently heated so as to vaporize. |
