PURPOSE: To simply and surly attach a grip member to a shaft cylinder by forming a recession in the front part of the shaft cylinder, attaching the grip member of a material which is softer than the material of the shaft cylinder to the recession, and forming the recession to gradually increase the size from around the shaft cylinder toward the rear part. CONSTITUTION: A recession 11 is formed in the front part of a front shaft 2 in a shaft cylinder main body 1 of a mechanical pencil, etc., a grip member 12 of a thermoplastic elastomer, NBR, silicone rubber, or the like is attached closely to the recession 11. In this process, the recession 11 is formed to gradually increase the diameter from the front end of the front shaft 2 toward the rear part, or is formed conically. Besides, the inside diameter of the grip member 12 is made to gradually increase from the front part toward the rear part. The front end of the grip part 12 is brought into contact with a bonding part 3a which is formed in the middle part of the front member 3 of the main body 1 to regulate the forward movement of the grip member 12 and to regulate the backward movement of the grip member 12 by the rear end 11a of the recession 11. |
