PURPOSE: To securely prevent a deed of burglarizing a vehicle by changing an engine control unit. CONSTITUTION: A burglarproof device for a vehicle, in which the ID code input by a key 20 and the ID code previously set in an immobilizer unit 16 are collated with each other so as to start an engine in the case where both the ID codes coincide with each other, is provided with a cover 28, which is provided so as to cover connector parts 14, 18 of a harness connected to an EGI unit 12, and a tester terminal 32, which can perform the two-way communication between the EGI unit 12 and a failure diagnosing tester by connecting the failure diagnosing tester 30. |
