PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to propagation of an air bag device for side impact by providing a structure small and easy to manufacture. SOLUTION: Starting gas of an inflator 5b enters the inside of an air bag 4b through a support pipe 26 and inflates this air bag 4b. A base end side circular arc part 20 of the air bag 4b is held between the support pipe 26 and a presser plate 27. It is possible to secure sufficient strength even without espacially reinforcing a circumference of an opening 25 formed at a central part of the base end side circular arc part 20. Consequently, stitching of reinforcing cloth is eliminated, and it is possible to reduce cost. Accordingly, width dimensions of an air bag module 3b are reduced, and it becoms possible to build it in the inside of a seat back small in thickness dimensions. |
