FRESHNESS-PRESERVING AGENT FOR MUSHROOM

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject agent capable of preventing browning of mushroom and deterioration of quality due to elongation of a spawn and preserving freshness of the mushroom by containing thymol (containing essential oil) as an active component. CONSTITUTION: An absorbing material containing thymol or an essential oil containing an amount of thymol corresponding to that in the absorbing material wherein the thymol or the thymol-containing essential oil is used as an active component is packaged together with mushroom to preserve freshness of mushroom. The essential oil containing thymol is preferably thyme oil.
