PURPOSE: To efficiently execute overlay document designing work by a method wherein the register of a form is inhibited as for comment character-string data while the register of a form is allowed as for figure data. CONSTITUTION: When the plotting designation, which is passed from a user through a display control section 403, defines comment characters, the value defining the comment characters is displayed to a user through the display control section 403 so as to obtain the character-string starting coordinate value of a comment character string, the set value of character type face, the set value of a printing composition and the decisive contents of the character string from the user through the display control section 403. Further, the decisive contents are stored in a figure buffer 402 by utilizing a plotting control section 404 as the figure data items on comment character string. By inhibiting the register of a form as for the comment character-string data and allowing the register of a form as for the figure data, overlay document designing work can efficiently be executed. |
