PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel method for starting an elevator machine device using a synchronous motor. SOLUTION: Power is fed to a synchronous motor 2 via a frequency converter 11, a traction sheave 12 is connected to the motor 2' and an elevator 18 is caused to travel by a hoisting rope 14. The magnetic field angle of a stator is determined when the elevator stops. When the motor is started again, the new value of the magnetic field angle of the stator is determined based on the change of a load signal, and by adjusting the frequency converter 11, the magnetic field of a direction corresponding to the new magnetic field angle of the stator is generated in the motor 2. |
