PURPOSE: To perform hemostasis for a long time so as not to close completely a blood vessel by means of a balloon catheter by providing an arbitrary number of supporting rods on a part of a supporting plate with an arbitrary shape, an arbitrary number of stoppers on the supporting plate and an arbitrary number of notches on the supporting plate. CONSTITUTION: A supporting rod 2A is welded on a side of a supporting plate 1 and a supporting rod 2B is welded on another parallel side. As the material for the supporting plate 1, e.g. an alloy such as a stainless steel or a plastic resin such as a Teflon (R) film is used and the shape of the supporting plate 1 is a square, a rectangle, an ellipse, a spiral shape, etc. In addition, notches or operating lines can be prepd. on the supporting plate 1. In addition, a hole is prepd. on the supporting plate 1 and a tube is inserted in this hole. When a compression catheter is used, one of the supporting rods 2A and 2B is rotated clockwise to wind up the supporting plate 1 and to decrease the outer diameter. Then, the diameter of the compression catheter passed through an introducing pipe is expanded in a blood vessel to compress the broken part in the blood vessel and to perform hemostasis to the outside of the blood vessel. |
