PURPOSE: To increase light reflectivity and strength by applying asphalt mixture which is obtained by mixing fine glass particles having a specific diameter with rubber, thermoplastic elastomer additive at a specific ratio in ashphalt. CONSTITUTION: Glass such as waste is crushed and classifying according to its size to prepare fine glass particles having a diameter of 2.5 to 25mm as aggregate. Moreover, elastomer made of styrene.butadiene rubber, styrene.butadiene block polymer, styrene.isoprene block polymer, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene acrylate copolymer, etc., is used singly or in proper combination to prepare an additive. Aggregate and additive are mixed into asphalt by 8 to 22% and 1 to 10%, respectively, to prepare an asphalt mixture. Furthermore, the asphalt mixture is applied to a road as pavement material. Consequently, since aggregate is solidly held in asphalt, the road which excels in light reflectivity, slide resistance, and durability is obtained. |
