<p>The chair (7) has a pair of collapsible armrests (3) each having a rigid support frame (8,9) for upholstery. The two armrest frame sections can be moved from one position where they are located above the plane of the seat (2) at an angle to each other, into a second position where they lie in the same flat plane as the seat and collapsed backrest (1) to form a bed. Preferably the armrest frame sections are secured to the seat and backrest by two hinges (11,12), while a third hinge (10) and a spring (18) are used to link the two sections together. Press-studs on the chair are used to fit upholstery.</p> |
