PURPOSE: To obtain an olefin polymer compsn. improved in mechanical strengths and impact resistance by compounding a specific propylene block copolymer with a lowly crystalline or noncrystalline ethylene copolymer. CONSTITUTION: This compsn. is prepd. by compounding 30-98 pts.wt. propylene block copolymer (A) with 70-2 pts.wt. lowly crystalline or noncrystalline ethylene copolymer (B). The component (A) is a lowly crystalline or noncrystalline ethylene-propylene copolymer formed by copolymerizing ethylene and propylene in the presence of a crystalline propylene component obtd. by (co)polymerizing propylene alone or together with anotherα-olefin in the presence of an olefin polymn. catalyst comprising a solid titanium catalyst component contg. Mg, Ti, a halogen, and an electron donor, an organometallic compd., and, if necessary, an electron donor. The component (B) is obtd. by copolymerizing ethylene and a 3-20Cα-olefin in the presence of a catalyst comprising a transition metal compd. having a ligand having a cyclopentadienyl backbone and an organoaluminumoxy compd. and/or a Lewis acid.
