<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a freshness-retaining agent capable of providing antimicrobial property and suppressing occurrence of ethylene over a long period and retaining freshness of food packed in a food storing box, a lunch box, plant-packing and hermetically sealing place, etc., over a long period. CONSTITUTION: This freshness-retaining agent is obtained by impregnating (iii) allyl isothiocyanate and (iv) a dissolution auxiliary obtained by compatibilizing allyl isothiocyanate with water into a substrate containing (i) pulp and (ii) at least one kind of mineral selected from sepiolite, silica gel, zeolite and montmorillonite.</p> |
